"A strong, vigorous and trustworthy press is the immune system of democracy."

-- Craig Newmark

Democracy on the Brink: Is the Press Up to the Task? will consider how journalists are handling one of the most consequential presidential campaigns in American history. With November’s election looming, controversy has swirled in the media sphere about such issues as objectivity, impartiality, framing of stories and the line between opinion and news. An all-star panel will explore one of the pressing journalism questions of the moment.
