Where are you from and what program are you pursuing?
I'm from Richmond, Virginia, and I'm in the Full-Time M.S. Program.
What inspired you to attend Columbia Journalism School?
Its location. For the past three years, I've wanted to live in New York City, so when I received my acceptance letter from Columbia Journalism School, tears ran down my face. My dream was finally coming to fruition. CJS is where I saw myself growing the most. For me, attending the J-School wasn't only about learning the material; it was about challenging myself to become a better journalist.
After the J-School, what would you like to do?
I don't have one set career path. While I enjoy podcasting and audio production, my passions stretch far beyond just journalism. After graduation, I'd like to continue traveling the world, making genuine connections, and having new experiences.
What is your favorite activity/location in NYC so far?
I enjoy walking in Hudson River Park and taking in the amazing views of the city.
