John Noble Wilford, ’62 M.S., covered Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin’s moonwalk on July 21, 1969, with a front-page story in The New York Times.
A.J. Liebling, '25 M.S., covered World War II extensively and was with the Allies when they stormed Omaha Beach on D-Day. A critic called Liebling’s account for the New Yorker a “finished masterpiece of reportage.”
