Where are you from and what program are you pursuing?
I am from Worcester, Mass. and a full-time, M.S. student on the Visual Craft track.
What inspired you to attend Columbia Journalism School?
I came to CJS to build my skills in multimedia reporting and storytelling, especially in video and audio. So far, I have been loving learning how to report in New York City. The support that I have from my professors and peers make the learning experience very fulfilling.
After the J-School, what would you like to do?
I am interested in and want to continue to explore how those mediums—video and audio—can be used to make news more accessible and engaging, especially when highlighting stories and communities that are not often represented in the media.
What is your favorite activity/location in NYC so far?
Since moving to New York City, I have enjoyed trying new restaurants and food around the city. I enjoy walking in Riverside Park and hope to walk the length of Manhattan one day.
