Book Workshop

This multi-part course helps narrative nonfiction writers transform a book idea into a fully realized proposal. Taught by Professor Emeritus Samuel G. Freedman, the workshop begins and ends with three-day residencies on campus and includes virtual meetings and one-on-one edits between sessions. Participants leave with a complete, agent-ready proposal and deeper knowledge of the publishing landscape.

Columbia Publishing Course
