Kristin Schwab is a reporter at Marketplace, the business and economics program that airs nationally on NPR stations. Recently, she's reported on everything from small business owners navigating the pandemic to farmers rebuilding Puerto Rico's coffee industry to macroeconomic stories of the day. Before Marketplace, Kristin produced narrative and news podcasts, including "The Argument" for The New York Times, "Tabloid" for New York Magazine and "The Future of Everything" for The Wall Street Journal. Her reporting has been read or heard on NPR, The Guardian and ESPN, among other publications.

Kristin teaches audio reporting classes at Columbia Journalism School. She's also a graduate of the program. Before making the leap to audio, she spent five years writing about dance and theater at Dance Magazine.
