From reporting on war to tracking the effects of climate change, satellite imagery has become an important source of data for reporting. Join the Tow Center for a hands-on tutorial where you will learn how to work with satellite imagery data and add this powerful tool to your journalistic toolkit. The event will feature discussion with practicing journalists and industry experts on the ways in which satellite imagery is changing reporting, followed by a hands-on tutorial by Mansi Shah, software engineer at Planet, who will teach us how to access satellite imagery data and walk us through an example analysis using the data to analyze coastal erosion.
