Online Event

As Venezuela grapples with political instability while Nicolás Maduro faces trial in the United States, journalists covering this story face extraordinary challenges.

This panel examines how censorship, intimidation, and lack of transparency about U.S. intervention shapes how reporters document this complex story. Panelists will reflect on what is at stake for Venezuelans, press freedom, and democracy in the region.

This event is co-sponsored by Columbia Journalism School, the Maria Moors Cabot Prizes, and Columbia University's Institute for Latin American Studies. Featuring:
