The event will be a global hub for journalists, designers, entrepreneurs and tech experts, sparking innovative dialogues around the media ecosystem. Some professionals, some students. Some journalists, some engineers and technologists. We are expecting a full house of about 200 people.
The conference will focus on AI and its role in defining the subjects and practices of journalism. And, in anticipation of the political events in 2024 in the US, we will specifically consider AI’s impacts on the upcoming election. It will be a time for "building" new tools or exploring how AI can aid your reporting.
Never been to a hackathon? That's a-okay! Think of it as a time of semi-structured learning and experimentation. The current AI platforms are more like writing than coding and the barrier to prototyping AI tools has never been lower. It should be a blast!
