Independent journalism is vital to informed public debate, but can it survive under authoritarian conditions? Join the Sakıp Sabancı Center for Turkish Studies for a conversation with Ann Cooper and Diego Cupolo. Drawing on their extensive professional experience, the speakers will discuss the challenges of journalism in repressive and contested information environments, including restrictions on press freedom, ethical and professional dilemmas faced by reporters and editors, and the opportunities and vulnerabilities of digital journalism.
