Is Journalism a Crime? An Evening with Minnesota's Georgia Fort
Georgia Fort in conversation with Robe Imbriano
Independent Minnesota journalist Georgia Fort was arrested and faces federal charges for covering a protest that took place in a St. Paul church. Fort’s crime? Filming the protest and interviewing the pastor of the church while it was happening.
Georgia Fort will be here to discuss her arrest and share clips from her coverage of that incident and the ICE surge in Minnesota with Lipman Center Director Robe Imbriano, as they address the criminalization of journalism and the federal government’s unprecedented assault on freedom of the press.
