2024 Maria Moors Cabot Prize winner and multiple World Press Photo winner Lalo de Almeida (Brazil) has spent a decade documenting environmental, social, and indigenous issues in the Amazon.

Join him in conversation with Associate Dean George Miller as he presents a series of photographs from his award winning work "Amazonian Dystopia" and "Drought in the Amazon"  and discusses how he has documented the predatory model of occupation of the largest tropical forest on the planet over the last 10 years.

Lalo's work is primarily focused on the relationship between human beings and the environment, and the impacts caused by this interaction, especially in the Amazon rainforest region.
