Kelley M. Spencer

Kelley Spencer is a higher education advancement leader with 15+ years of experience building vibrant alumni communities and strengthening engagement across higher education institutions. As Senior Director of Alumni Relations at Columbia Journalism School, she leads initiatives that connect alumni to one another and to the school while advancing opportunities for meaningful engagement, volunteer leadership, and philanthropy.

Throughout her career, Spencer has cultivated lasting relationships with alumni, donors, and institutional partners and has created programs, events, and strategic initiatives that bring communities together and deepen their connection to their institutions. Prior to joining Columbia Journalism School, she held alumni relations leadership roles at NYU School of Law and Hofstra University's Maurice A. Deane School of Law.

She holds a Master of Arts in Media, Culture, and Communication and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Development from New York University and is a graduate of Hofstra University.

She believes in the power of strong alumni communities to build meaningful connections, celebrate shared experiences, and strengthen the institutions they call home.
