Dorian Geiger

Dorian Geiger is an award-winning Canadian journalist, producer, and filmmaker based in Queens, New York. He has a diverse background in breaking news, digital video, and media strategy. Dorian is a senior producer at Al Jazeera English where he helps steer international coverage on the digital video desk. He’s also a former New York Post metro reporter. His work has been featured by The New York Times, POLITICO, The Guardian, The Daily Beast, TIME, Fortune, VICE, NowThis, Teen Vogue, the BBC, Business Insider, LinkedIn News, The Toronto Star, CBC, The Canadian Press, and others.   In 2015, Dorian won the Education Writers Association’s National Award for Education Reporting for his documentary “Glen’s Village.” Dorian earned his M.S. from Columbia Journalism School, where he now teaches and advises master’s candidates.
