Angela Moon
Angela Moon is the head of Global Breaking News at Bloomberg News, where she directs coverage of major events around the world, from geopolitical developments to news that moves financial markets. She also serves on Bloomberg News’ AI Advisory Board, helping shape the newsroom’s approach to artificial intelligence and its responsible use in journalism.
Moon has spent two decades as a journalist and editor, covering markets, technology and business and leading some of Bloomberg’s most time-sensitive coverage. Prior to her current role, she oversaw the organization’s Litigation and Courts coverage as an Executive Editor.
Moon joined Bloomberg after a long career at Reuters, where she worked in New York, Seoul and across Asia. She covered Wall Street and technology and later founded and led Reuters’ Social Media Reporting Team, focused on real-time reporting and digital newsgathering.
Moon earned her master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she was also a Knight-Bagehot Fellow. She is the author of Minutes from Wall Street and holds an honors B.A. in English Literature and International Affairs from the University of Toronto.
