Aida A. Ylanan

Aida is a data journalist and visualization designer. She most recently worked as a Visual Information Specialist at the CDC's Center for Forecasting and Outbreak Analytics. Before that, she was a reporter on the Data and Graphics desk at the Los Angeles Times, where she worked on stories related to politics, housing, the environment, public health, and arts and culture. She is a graduate of the Metpro program, and she has contributed to projects recognized by the Pulitzer Prizes and the Society for News Design. Her academic background is in statistics and English.
