Gisela Winckler will serve as its inaugural Climate Scientist in Residence for fall 2023

“It is vital that current and future journalists really understand how to report on climate issues,” said Professor Duy Linh Tu. “The science is complicated, and the politics and misinformation of the day make it increasingly important for journalists to get it right.” 

In 2023, our students joined 120 organizations. As of Sept. 5, 83% of the class of 2023 had post-graduate plans lined up.

The Oakes jury said that the international documentary series “provides an exceptionally vivid and intimate look at climate change’s impact on people and wildlife living in the Himalayas among the world’s highest mountains.”
