Ariana Lee

Ariana Gharib Lee is a producer for the Enterprise Storytelling Unit at NPR. Her work involves every facet of the editorial process, from writing and reporting to editing, finding guests, and fact-checking.

Ariana works primarily with Embedded, NPR's home for documentary podcast series. From time to time, she also produces stories for Up First, NPR's critically acclaimed news podcast. She has also worked on award-winning stories for NPR's podcasts Invisibilia and Rough Translation.

Ariana previously produced for Dustlight Productions, where she senior produced the ten-part Crooked Media series Mother Country Radicals. It won the 2024 Dupont-Columbia award as well as the 2022 Signal Award and the non-fiction podcast award at Tribeca. Before that, she produced the Webby award-winning second season of the podcast Tell Them, I Am. She also worked on Webby-winning Hello, Nature, an audio documentary about belonging and the United States' national parks.

Ariana is an alumna of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY.
