Ensuring Access and Promoting Excellence in Journalism.
By giving to Columbia Journalism School, alumni and friends enable the School to educate the next generation of journalists, diversify the student body in every way and help the dramatically changing profession meet its potential and uphold standards of ethical reporting. You can help in several ways.
The Annual Fund
The Journalism School seeks to enroll the very best students, regardless of their economic circumstances. Contributions from alumni and friends to the Annual Fund primarily provide scholarship support.
Every gift to the Annual Fund – no matter the size – makes an immediate and palpable difference in our students’ lives. Last year, gifts to the Annual Fund ranging from $10 to $50,000 added up to more than $1 million.
Together, your Annual Fund donations can positively transform our students’ lives as well as the School and the profession. Please consider supporting Columbia Journalism School today.
The Dean's Circle
Members of the Dean’s Circle demonstrate philanthropic leadership and enthusiastic commitment to the Journalism School that inspires others. Donors qualify for the Dean's Circle with cumulative gifts of $1,000 or more ($500 for graduates from the last 10 years) to the Annual Fund within a given fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).
Dean’s Circle members who give $5,000 or above to the Annual Fund in a single year may have a scholarship named in their honor or in honor of an individual of the donor’s choosing.
