Professor Helen Benedict lauches new book, Map of Hope and Sorrow: Stories of Refugees
Professor Helen Benedict's new book, Map of Hope and Sorrow: Stories of Refugees Trapped in Greece, launched on Oct. 18. Written with Syrian writer and refugee, Eyad Awwadawnan, the book combines literary journalism and oral history to tell the stories of five refugees from Syria, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Cameroon from their childhoods to today.
