The Kim Wall Scholarship Fund
The Journalism School community has sorely missed Kim Wall '13, an intrepid and empathetic journalist who was killed on a reporting trip last summer. Through the alumni community's collective generosity, an endowed scholarship has been established to celebrate her life. This means that each year, a Kim Wall Scholar will be able to learn to report the stories Kim wanted to tell. It is a wonderful tribute to a woman who took fullest advantage of her 10 months at Pulitzer Hall.
“We are very honoured that Kim's legacy and spirit will be remembered by the scholarship at Columbia. The year Kim spent at the J-School was one of the best in her short life. There she got her education and made friends for life alongside many memorable moments." - Ingrid and Joachim Wall, Kim Wall's parents.
