Theresa writes about the economy, technology and government. Previously, she spent four years in Latin America as the regional business editor for The AP in Mexico City, and as an economics and government reporter for Bloomberg in Caracas. She first worked as a researcher at ABC News "Nightline" and "This Week,” joining team coverage of politics and foreign affairs for more than two years; and later wrote about immigration, crime and local development at The Miami Herald.

In 2014-15, she was director of Columbia’s Lede Program in Data Practices, working to launch and grow the school’s first certification program in computational journalism. Theresa holds a master’s from Columbia Journalism School and an MBA from the Wharton School, where she was a Joseph Wharton Fellow.
