Alexandra Bregman is a freelance art writer and the author of The Bouvier Affair: A True Story, originated from her 2016 thesis at Columbia Journalism School. In its first week of Amazon sales, the book reached #1 in Biographies of White Collar Crime and Business of Art.
Bregman has written for The Wall Street Journal, Architectural Digest and The Art Newspaper, as well as the Hong Kong-based Asian Art News and the London-based Asian Art Newspaper among others. Her career began with internships at Christie's and Gagosian Gallery, followed by experience in Indian art and French design. After graduate school, she worked as a ghostwriter for a global CEO.
Bregman completed a B.A. at Smith College in English Language and Literature with a minor in History of Art and spent a year at Université Paris IV-Sorbonne. She is fluent in French, with working knowledge of German and elementary spoken proficiency in Hindi and Urdu.
