Alan Haburchak is a Senior Video Journalist at The New York Times and Adjunct Professor of Digital Media at the Columbia Journalism School. Prior to the Times, he was the Production Manager for Editorial Video at Mashable, where he helped build and manage a team of twenty shooter/editor/producers to create and publish quality video content across multiple platforms.
Before Mashable Alan was the Director of Video Evangelism for Videolicious, a mobile-first video journalism technology startup. He also previously worked as the Multimedia Editor for Caixin Online, an industry-leading Chinese business publication in Beijing, and before working in China was part of TIME Magazine’s TIME.com multimedia team, producing video journalism for their website and tablet edition.
Alan has served as Adjunct Faculty since 2010, after graduating from the M.S. program in 2009, and serving as a Digital Media teaching fellow from 2009-2010.
